CoverThatBun.com was created by Melissa Martinez in 2005.

She has previously created and managed the now defunct site The Nocturnal Goddess.com where she made and sold gothic-themed purses and hair accessories until she decided to make and sell hair accessories exclusively thus giving rise to this site.

She has been sewing and crocheting for over 20 years and learned these crafts from her grandmother RIP 7-23-06. She takes great pride in applying these crafts to her business thus continuing the legacy and taking her creations to the level of artform. She has been affectionally dubbed by one of her loyal customers as a "crochet artist" and wears this badge proudly as she uses only the highest quality materials, vast array of colors, textures and original patterns (which she is continuously designing!) to provide the most unique, fun and functional hair accessories around!  She is also proud to be listed in the Cambridge Who's Who among Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs directory.
